An Invitation to Join the AALAS Foundation Legacy Society

Members of the AALAS Foundation Legacy Society express their commitment and financial support by naming the AALAS Foundation as the beneficiary of a planned gift by including the AALAS Foundation in their estate plans. Your participation in the AALAS Foundation Legacy Society furthers the Foundation’s Mission of educating the public about the compassionate professionals working in laboratory animal science and the important role of animals working in research.

Planned gifts take a wide variety of forms and may benefit a donor financially, while also meeting important philanthropic goals. Among the many ways to include the AALAS Foundation in one’s plans are bequests by will or trusts, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, land gifts, IRAs, pension/profit plans, certain personal property and some pre-approved collectables.

Once you complete your estate plans that include the AALAS Foundation, please fill out and submit our AALAS Foundation Legacy Society Commitment Form (or download PDF) to let us know. New and upgraded planned gift intentions are recorded upon receipt of the signed AALAS Foundation Legacy Society Commitment Form and supporting legal documents. We would like to thank you for your generosity for supporting the AALAS Foundation.

The AALAS Foundation recognizes AALAS Foundation Legacy Society members by their commitment at the following levels:

Silver - $5,000 - $9,999
Gold - $10,000 - $49,999
Emerald - $50,000 - $74,999
Platinum - $75,000 - $99,999
Diamond - $100,00+

AALAS Foundation Legacy Society Membership Benefits:

Your membership involves no dues; however, it does allow us to thank you and recognize you for your support, and it may inspire generosity in others.

AALAS Foundation Legacy Society members receive a distinctive lapel pin identifying them as a member of AALAS Foundation Legacy Society. These Legacy Society members are then recognized in the AALAS Foundation Annual Report. Legacy Society members at the Gold level and above also receive recognition on signage at the AALAS National Meeting and on the AALAS Foundation website and are also included on the Donor Wall at AALAS Foundation Headquarters.

The most important benefit you will receive from joining the AALAS Foundation Legacy Society is the satisfaction derived from making a lasting contribution to our long-term success.
