Fundraising Events
The AALAS Foundation holds a number of fundraising events each year at the AALAS National Meeting to further our efforts to educate the public about the importance of quality laboratory animal care and research.
The future of our industry relies on public support of animal research. Your participation in these events helps us advance public understanding, respect, and support for laboratory animal science.

AALAS Foundation Silent and Live Auction
Are you looking for a way to advance biomedical research and gain valuable exposure for your company?
The AALAS Foundation is holding its annual Silent and Live Auction in October at the 64th Annual AALAS National Meeting in Baltimore. Proceeds from this fun-filled event support the Foundation’s efforts to educate the public about the essential role of animals in research and education.
How to Make an Auction Donation
To donate to the AALAS Foundation Silent and Live Auction, please fill out our online auction contribution form or our auction contribution form and return it to the AALAS Office. Auction donation pledges received by July 25 will be recognized in the AALAS Foundation National Meeting Program.
Please mail your auction item(s) to the AALAS Foundation office by October 1. Alternatively, you can bring your auction donations directly to the Foundation booth in Baltimore.

Foundation Appreciation Reception and Live Auction
The AALAS Foundation holds an Appreciation Reception at the National Meeting each year to recognize the volunteers and benefactors who generously give to the Foundation.
This reception is open to all National Meeting attendees and is made possible through the generous support of Charles River.
Live Auction
Following the reception, enjoy some refreshments and participate in our annual Live Auction hosted by auctioneer Brian Ebert!
All auction proceeds benefit the Foundation's public outreach efforts, so bid early, and bid often!
Drink Tickets
Appreciation Reception attendees must use drink tickets to purchase beverages. Drink tickets are $5 each and are available for purchase at the reception.
Soft drinks are 1 drink ticket while wine, beer, and mix drinks cost 2 tickets. A portion of drink ticket sales benefits the AALAS Foundation.
You can secure complimentary drink tickets by making a donation at the AALAS Foundation booth. drinks and soft drinks.

Foundation Has Successful 2011 National Meeting
San Diego served as a beautiful backdrop for the 62nd Annual AALAS National Meeting where attendees generously contributed $47,283 to support the Foundation’s public outreach efforts!
Thank you to all those who participated in the 2nd Annual TotalMRO Golf Outing, the 22nd Annual STERIS 5K Run/Walk, and the Silent and Live Auction.
Special thanks to the many AALAS members who made contributions at the Foundation Booth, donated items for the Silent and Live Auction and attended the Charles River Appreciation Reception.
Silent and Live Auction
The annual Silent and Live Auction generated a total of $17,021, with the Live Auction posting an impressive total of $10,010! Thank you to Brian Ebert for serving as auctioneer. A special thank you goes out to Charles River for sponsoring the Appreciation Reception and Live Auction.
2nd Annual Total MRO Golf Outing
Sixty golfers and 20 sponsors participated in the 2nd Annual TotalMRO Golf Outing at the Vineyard Golf Club in Escondido, which generated a $3,000 donation to the Foundation.
STERIS 5K Run/Walk
The 22nd Annual STERIS 5K Run/Walk broke both their participation and donation records this year! 177 runners and 31 walkers participated in the event this year, resulting in a $6,095 donation to the Foundation.
Allentown Special Event
Allentown made an $8,216 contribution to the Foundation at the National Meeting, bringing the company’s lifetime Foundation contribution total to $60,000.
Tecniplast National Meeting Contribution
Tecniplast continued its tradition of giving $5,000 to the Foundation at the AALAS National Meeting. The company also contributes $5,000 a year through a 5-year pledge to the Foundation.
